Clean energy from our photovoltaic system

Since 2010, our facility has been powered by solar energy and illuminated with LED lighting. Following the 2022 expansion, our photovoltaic system now reaches 475 kW. We use only certified green energy and are ISO 14001 certified. In both 2021 and 2022, Forbes recognized us as one of the 100 most sustainable Italian companies in Italy.

A 360° sustainable approach

For years, Morocolor has embraced a green, responsible vision that spans the entire production chain. We use low water-consumption systems, actively promote material recycling, and continuously invest in Research & Development to find sustainable solutions for both production processes and packaging. Every choice we make is guided by the goal of reducing environmental impact and making a tangible contribution to more conscious production.

Towards a greener planet

To offset unavoidable emissions, we collaborate with Treedom and Treebu, two different but complementary reforestation projects.

With Treedom we have planted three forests in seven countries, for a total of 575 trees and 130.35 tons of CO2 sequestered .

With Treebu we planted the first 100 Paulownia trees in 2023
province of Verona, a few kilometers from our headquarters.

Lean Production: Less Waste, More Circularity

Since 2018, we have adopted the Lean Management system, a production philosophy aimed at minimizing all forms of waste. Thanks to this approach, we avoid waste wherever possible and reintroduce it into the production cycle when it is generated, creating a more efficient and circular process. Scrap chalk, tablets and powdered watercolors, and wax crayons are recovered and transformed into components to make new products.
